Continental Airlines to fly to New Zealand

Continental Airlines have announced plans to fly Houston Auckland direct from November 2011.  Great news for Americans coming to New Zealand.   There are now 3 airlines traveling here flying from 4 gateway cities (Air New Zealand, Qantas & Continental, from Vancouver, San Francisco, LAX & Houston).

Snow!

The New Zealand Ski season is not far off now. Fresh new snow on all the main mountains. For those of us near the coast snow on the mountains equals rain and cold weather, but all for a good cause!
Still 4C or 39F at midday is a bit miserable.
